ARENA EcoMix waterproofing additive for concrete

Material application technology

Material application technology:

The temperature of application of the ARENA EcoMix additive corresponds to the current standards under which concrete work is possible. Consumption is 1% of the mass of cement in the concrete mix, or 4 kg of additives per 1 m³ of concrete mix.

Methods of supplement administration:

- The ARENA EcoMix should be injected into the concrete truck as an aqueous solution. Examples of proportions for the preparation of the solution: the proportions specified in the instructions must be observed.

To prepare the solution, use:

- 0.65–0.75 liters of water per 1 kg of dry additive;

- 2.5–3 liters of water per 4 kg of dry additive;

- for 20 kg of dry additive – 13-15 liters of water;

- 16-19 liters of water per 25 kg of dry additive;

- or 1.5 parts of dry additive 1 – 1.1 parts of water (by volume).

To prepare the additive solution, use clean water and containers. The optimal closing water temperature is 20°C. Mix with water for 2 to 5 minutes manually or using a low-speed drill, until a homogeneous mortar mass is formed without lumps. When preparing the solution, add the dry mixture gradually to the water, and not vice versa! Violation of this rule may lead to difficulty and increase the mixing time! The prepared additive solution should be used within 5 minutes. Pour the additive solution into the concrete truck and mix for at least 10 minutes at elevated mixer speeds.

In dry form, the ARENA EcoMix additive should be administered through dispensers of dry additives of the RBU production line (Mortar and Concrete unit). It is possible to introduce an estimated amount of the additive together with inert materials.

When concreting structures, ensure waterproofing of technological seams and joints using a waterproofing harness ARENA DryDeform and metal mounting brackets.

Care of the treated surface:

Standard security measures are applied. Moisten at positive temperatures and protect the surface from mechanical influences, negative temperatures and precipitation for at least 4 hours. In hot, dry, windy weather for up to 1 day. To do this, use standard methods of care for cement-containing materials (covering the surface with film, wet burlap or cardboard, spraying water) or apply special film-forming compounds ARENA TopSL.

Security:

Use rubber gloves, cotton gloves, respirator, safety glasses, thick cloth overalls, boots. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.

Transportation:

The material is transported by all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with the rules of cargo transportation applicable to this type of transport. The applied methods of transportation of mixtures should exclude the possibility of atmospheric precipitation entering them, as well as ensure the safety of packaging from mechanical damage and violation of integrity.

Storage conditions and manufacturer's warranty:

Dry mixes should be stored packed, avoiding humidification and ensuring the safety of packaging, in covered dry storage rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 60%. The shelf life of products packed in bags is 12 months, from the date of manufacture indicated on the package.
