* The technical characteristics shown in the table were obtained during laboratory tests at a temperature of 20 ± 2 ° C and a relative humidity of 60% at the design age of 28 days. When working at lower temperatures and the maximum dosage of water, there may be an increase in the duration of the set of characteristics. The technical specifications listed in the table apply regardless of the color (gray / white / tinted).

Material application technology

Consumption of dry mix:

The consumption of dry mixes is 1.8 kg / m² of concrete surface with a layer thickness of 1 mm.

Preparation of the foundation:

For other surfaces: Clean the insulated surface from oils, plaster residues, paint and other contaminants that prevent the waterproofing mixture from adhering to the substrate. Remove weakened and fragile areas by mechanical means to a solid foundation. Use a water jet to rinse the surface with water. The recommended pressure is at least 300 bar. If high-pressure treatment is not possible, thoroughly dust off the surface with a construction vacuum cleaner and apply an additional primer layer of ARENA PolyElast PE, a more liquid consistency, 0.5 mm thick. To carry out a visual assessment of the isolated area and identify water filtration sites. If there are active leaks, eliminate them with a dry mix ARENA PlugMix PW. Moisten the prepared concrete or brick surface slightly before applying ARENA PolyElast PE, preventing the accumulation of free water. Non-absorbent bases, no need to moisten!

Preparation of the mortar mixture:

Prepare a volume of the mortar mixture that can be developed within 30 to 40 minutes from the moment of mixing with water. The optimal water temperature for sealing is + 20 °C. Work should be carried out at a temperature not lower than + 5 ° C. 1 kg of dry mix requires water, as indicated in the table with the characteristics of the materials. The dry mixture should be added to the water. Mixing is carried out with a low-speed drill for 3 minutes, until a homogeneous plastic mass is formed without lumps. Take a technological pause for 3 to 5 minutes and mix the mixture again. Mix the mortar mixture regularly during use to maintain its original consistency. Adding water to the mortar mixture after a technological pause is not allowed!

Application:

Work should be carried out at a temperature not lower than + 5 °C. For other surfaces: The materials of the ARENA PolyElast series are applied using a brush, a spatula, or a spray gun for mortar mixtures. After applying the first layer, the second layer is applied immediately after the first layer sets, after about 60 to 90 minutes. Subsequent repairs can be carried out after ARENA PolyElast has dried (after about 48 hours at a temperature of + 20 °C). Walking loads are allowed 4 hours after setting!

Care of the treated surface:

Protect the surface from mechanical influences, negative temperatures and precipitation for 3 days.

Security:

Use rubber gloves, cotton gloves, respirator, safety glasses, thick cloth overalls, boots. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.

Transportation:

The material is transported by all modes of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with the rules of cargo transportation applicable to this type of transport. The applied methods of transportation of mixtures should exclude the possibility of atmospheric precipitation entering them, as well as ensure the safety of packaging from mechanical damage and violation of integrity.

Storage conditions and manufacturer's warranty:

Dry mixes should be stored packed, avoiding humidification and ensuring the safety of packaging, in covered dry storage rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 60%. The shelf life of products packed in bags is 12 months, from the date of manufacture indicated on the package.
